A Vapor Recovery system has been implemented at the Oil Base in Shtip, which enables the recovery of volatile organic compounds during fuel transfer. This system is also installed at all gas stations where the process of loading and unloading tanks is carried out in a closed system, without evaporation. Additionally, fuel dispensers are equipped with such a system, which enables vapor recovery and significantly reduces the emission of harmful gases into the atmosphere.
Solar panels have been installed in some of our facilities, which means that part of the electricity consumption is covered through renewable sources, and all gas stations are equipped with wastewater separators, in order to protect groundwater and surface water.
We also care about the environment - we regularly green our areas around gas stations by planting evergreen trees and maintaining green areas, thus contributing to greater urban ecological balance.
LUKOIL Macedonia also conducts regular monitoring of environmental parameters, including air, water and soil, and waste management is carried out through authorized and licensed companies, with a special emphasis on safe handling of industrial and hazardous waste.
In the future, LUKOIL Macedonia plans to reduce pollution, use more renewable energy, install new solar panels, support environmental and educational projects, develop energy and water saving solutions and expand the greenery around its facilities."
